About Us

In 2009, Alliance Refuse Trucks and Ampro Truck Sales pooled their considerable expertise and resources to form a new company, Alliance Refuse Trucks, Inc.

The company's principals are Keith Alexander, formerly of Ampro Truck Sales, and Aidan Warrington of Alliance Refuse Trucks.

According to Keith, "In the very competitive business of refuse truck sales, Alliance Refuse Trucks, Inc. separates itself from the crowd by focusing on providing the highest quality trucks at the fairest prices."

Aidan Warrington and Keith Alexander have more than 45 years of combined experience of refurbishing everything from Crawler Cranes to London Buses to Garbage trucks, with 30 plus years of running a garbage company. The result is a combination that exceeds customer expectations with a product that gives real value for money.

Keith and his brother Todd grew up in the trash hauling business. They understand the day to day operations and requirements of operating the right truck for the right job and can help show you how to make the most profit with the right equipment. Aidan has owned and operated companies in Europe, South Africa and the Middle East and was formerly a director of retail sales for Heil Environmental.

Alliance's reconditioning facility in Phoenix, Arizona, combines 2 acres of pristine property with a 7 bay workshop, including a 50-foot paint facility. Located less than 5 minutes from Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport, customers have been picked up at the airport, inspected and driven trucks and sometimes returned on the same plane. Other times they have stayed longer and enjoyed legendary hospitality!

Having cut his teeth reconditioning engines, with an 80-man facility in England, Aidan values a clean and tidy working environment. "You can't sell a top quality product alongside junk or in a junk yard environment," he says. "Presentation is vital and as our ads say 'We don't paint over junk.'"

The secret to their growth and success has been buying top quality lightly used former City trucks, mainly from the dry environments of the western United States; refurbishing them to a high standard; and giving the type of quality that breeds long term relationships with steady repeat business.

"We ship trucks all over the USA, its dependent territories, and export to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean," says Keith. "We find customers more than willing to pay slightly more in shipping costs to the East Coast as they know that the product they receive is worth the extra money. After all, rust and corrosion are the biggest single enemy of used sanitation trucks."

"The bridges we build with our customers are long and with good foundations, based on honesty, integrity and a top quality product," Aidan adds. "Our customer lists are extensive and if you haven't bought from us, you more than likely know someone who has. Every truck we sell we stand behind proudly. It's the ultimate advertisement for our company."

Every truck is brought into the facility and checked for mechanical problems, and immediately repaired by experienced heavy truck mechanics. All hydraulics, cylinders, oil lines and hoses are checked and replaced as necessary. Extensive packer body repairs are a specialty, and the company can re-build almost anything. Floors, tracks, hoppers, full body sides are all replaced if required.

Nothing is too big a job and no detail is too small. Body work is sanded by hand – every visible square inch of it – eliminating the potential damage to electrical circuits that can occur with shot blasting. Imron enamel paint is applied for a finish coat. Experienced electricians check all lighting gauges and truck wiring, and anything suspect is replaced. All trucks are fully serviced and undergo an annual inspection. Finally the trucks are fully detailed and presented for sale.

"The focus is on the customer's total satisfaction," says Aidan. "With an inventory of over 100 trucks all presented and ready for immediate delivery, we deliver only trucks ready for operation. There is nothing worse than buying something and then spending two weeks getting it ready to go on route. Your hard earned cash needs to be put to immediate work. If you buy an East Coast rust bucket, when it's repainted it's still just that. Our customers want value for money, a quality refurbished product at a good price.

"Our supply lines for good equipment are extensive," he continues, "and we also work with major banks, refurbishing and selling their equipment for them. Fully automated trucks are our specialty and our knowledge of them is extensive. Months after selling trucks we are often assisting customers by diagnosing operating problems, supplying parts and vital knowledge to keep trucks operating efficiently and economically.

"In these tough economic times new trucks are more than ever out of the reach of most private operators. In addition, the wait times on warranty repairs with new truck dealers seem to grow ever longer."

Fully refurbished quality trucks provide a refreshing viable economical alternative. Alliance Refuse Trucks provide that alternative.
