How Many Photos Can I Use?
The program allows you to upload as many as 12 photos. There is no extra charge for photos, so use them! Shoot pictures of your equipment from all sides to give potential buyers a good look. You can also add brief desctiptions with each photo as you upload them, using the description box at the right of the photo Browse box for each picture. You'll see what we mean when you go through the Place An Ad process and get to the photo upload page.

Why can't I upload my images?
Most digital cameras take photos that are HUGE!! Most cameras also transfer their images to your computer in JPEG format (denoted by the three letters, JPG). If you are having trouble uploading pictures, you might need to RESIZE your photos. The maximum size you can upload on this site is 600 pixels wide and 600 pixels deep, which is about 1 megabyte. But don't worry...it really is not that hard to resize your pictures. All you need is a FREE program that is user friendly. Go grab this program. It is free and very easy to use.

What is JPG & GIF?
When you look at any file. You will notice it has 3 letters on the end. These 3 letters say what type of file it is. Very much like domain names do. If you see MYFILE.TXT you know by looking at the last 3 letters this is a TEXT file. Which means I can read this in notepad. JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG and more are picture files. Why so many different ones? Because each one is made a little bit differently, and certain file types work best with certain applications. Some are better in cad programs, for example, and others for artists and graphic designers. For this site, .JPG files work best. They compress well, and look good on a monitor. It is also the most common photo file type, so that should make things easier when sending photos to our site. BMP and TIF files are generally too large to upload here.
